The King of Hoops Pro Am Tour is officially underway, thanks to the tireless efforts of a select group of organizers and the assistance of a fellow court organization. "We can't begin to thank Streetball.com enough, "said Mike Reckord, one of the key King of Hoops tournament directors. "They were instrumental in the building of our new website. The coordinating of efforts between our two groups was awesome. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our strategic alliance in the coming months and years."
Mike means business, as do the rest of the KOH tournament directors. Miami director Clyde Darrisaw has arranged for the opening Friday night game to feature a dazzling streetball game featuring former And1 players and DC stars combining forces to take on the elite of Miami pro/am teams: the Four Horsemen.
"The Horsemen comprise one of the best teams in Miami pro/am history," said Darrisaw. "The fireworks will be exploding on May 21st." The next day will see the start of the tournament at 9 a.m., with the sixteen teams doing preliminary battle throughout the day.
"The teams are fighting for a Sunday showing and the top prize of ten thousand dollars," said Reckord. "This will be a powerful start to our KOH tour, which also includes a Dallas tourney on July 17-19 and an Atlanta showdown on August 20-22. We'll have teams coming in from the likes of Houston, Nashville, New York City, New Orleans, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix and many other cities, ready to play and ready to win ."
The KOH Tour has started and the excitement is building.
